Throughout more than two successful years in the market, we’ve been constantly listening to customer feedback and making improvements to the X55. This new revision incorporates valuable customer input to enhance functionality and reliability of the system.
Key Features and Improvements
Enhanced GPS System
The X55 V2 now comes equipped with dual Here 4 GPS modules for superior accuracy and redundancy. These modules feature the u-blox F9P receiver, a professional-grade, high-precision dual-band RTK navigation system. With this upgrade, we’ve integrated a moving baseline RTK feature, which is available upon request. This feature is particularly beneficial for areas with magnetic field anomalies or during high-voltage power line inspections, and allows the GPS system to be used for yaw estimation, rather than relying on compasses.
Mechanical Design Enhancements
The X55 V2’s main body, which is still precision-machined from a single aluminum block, has been redesigned to significantly enhance stiffness and reduce vibration caused by component joints. This results in 15% better control system performance and more robustness. The O-ring-sealed perimeter of the X55 V2 body ensures reliable operation, even in light rain. Additionally, the upgraded arm holder and landing gear designs allow for quicker setup and teardown without the need for tools.
Modular Power Board and Advanced Flight Controller
The newly updated power board delivers unmatched reliability and redundancy, with dual industrial-grade 5V & 12V DC-DC converters powering the flight controller and sensitive electronics. The X55 V2 also incorporates the industry-standard Cube Orange Plus flight controller, equipped with temperature-compensated triple IMUs and built-in vibration dampening for superior performance.
Master Payload Connector
The X55 V2 features a rugged mil-spec master payload connector, providing all the necessary signals and power for nearly all payloads in the market. This enables users to efficiently swap between payloads while maintaining the same interface connector. Every Arcsky-supported payload includes a compatible mating connector, simplifying integration for both current and future payloads.
AUX Port and Accessory Power Update
The existing auxiliary communication (AUX) port connections remain intact, while the accessory power system now features a conventional XT60 plug, providing greater flexibility for third-party payload integration. The XT60 output voltage can also be customized to suit specific requirements.
“The X55 V2 represents our commitment to continuous innovation and meeting the evolving needs of our customers,” said Wilson Lau, co-founder of Arcsky. “This update incorporates cutting-edge features that streamline operations and improve reliability in the most challenging environments.”
The X55 V2 is available now and ready to order. The latest pricing is available on the web store and all future X55 orders will be the V2 model.
